Tapered Roller Bearings
In addition to a wide selection of model designs, tapered roller bearings can also be customized to match your specific speed, load, contamination conditions, temperature or vibration conditions.
Tapered roller bearings have a tapered outer ring and a tapered inner ring assembly. The conical outer ring assembly is composed of the outer ring, and the conical inner ring assembly is composed of the inner ring, the rollers and the cage. The bearing is constructed to accommodate combined loads and achieve low friction in operation. Stiff bearing applications can be achieved by aligning and preloading one single row tapered roller bearing with another tapered roller bearing.
Features and Benefits
Low friction, noise and vibration
long lasting
Increased operational reliability even under difficult conditions
Running-in phase of peak temperature drop
Detachable and interchangeable parts for easy installation, removal and maintenance
application
Single row tapered roller bearings are typically used in applications where combined loads are present. Single row tapered roller bearings can also be used in groups. Depending on the operating conditions, single row tapered roller bearings can be matched face-to-face, back-to-back or in tandem to provide specific advantages.
Double row tapered roller bearings are commonly used in gearboxes, lifting equipment, rolling mills and mining machinery.
Four-row tapered roller bearings are used almost exclusively in roll applications, such as rolling mills.
